SUCCESS STORIES

Saving Animals & Healing Hearts has many happy stories to tell. The following are just some of our animals that have found their forever home.

Hamilton and Kevin

Kevin and Hamilton made it safely and securely to their new forever, happily ever after home. I am so incredibly happy for them. Truly from rags to riches for these boys. Hamilton was an owner surrender living in a tiny backyard with no house to protect him from the elements, no blankets to keep him warm or give him a soft place to lay his head, people who tolerated him but couldn’t even bother to give him a bowl to eat from. Kevin was in a Riverside shelter in a stall that was full of feces and mud only a tiny spot of dryness to lay in. Nothing but filthy water to drink. They came to SAHH and found love, warmth, kindness and good food. Both turned out to be incredible boys after they were neutered and shown how good life could be. And now... look at them! Thank you so much for loving them Carly! I can’t wait to watch them blossom even more under your love and care!

Lily

Lily is over a year old. She is sweet and shy. Her sweet and shy demeanor suits this beautiful girl's personality well. She loves getting special treats and warms up quickly. Lily loves being outside and will flourish in her new forever home!

Kevin

Kevin is approx 1-1/2 years old and neutered. He was rescued from a shelter where he was living in deplorable conditions. We believe he was someone’s pet at one time. Kevin is sweet, gentle, the first to greet everyone and waits for belly rubs!

French Fry

Once a faithful string horse, French Fry was abandoned in the river beds after giving her heart and soul to safely carrying people on countless trails. Sad, dejected, with head hanging and empty eyes she had accepted her fate headed to slaughter when we stepped in and said Hell No. Slowly with love, kindness, good food, farrier care and building trust she showed herself to be sweet, kind and loving to all but most especially to children. Once back in shape she had the heart to keep going but her body just didn’t have the same ability and she was diagnosed with DSLD. She was retired to a sanctuary home in Arizona to live out her days in peace, love and safety from ever being in danger again!

Ramen

Ramen was found wandering the streets of Perris, CA where reportedly he had been seen for over a year on his own. Emaciated and weak we took him in and promptly named him Ramen because we knew taking on another life would mean we eat Top Ramen for a long time to come. Ramen had an incredible will to live and a stately air about him that shouted out that he was “someone special” at one time. Whatever his past, we fell head over heels in love with this old gentleman, rehabbing him into his gorgeous old self and found his forever home where he retired to live out his golden years well fed and well loved.
