SUCCESS STORIES

Saving Animals & Healing Hearts has many happy stories to tell. The following are just some of our animals that have found their forever home.

Kevin

Kevin is approx 1-1/2 years old and neutered. He was rescued from a shelter where he was living in deplorable conditions. We believe he was someone’s pet at one time. Kevin is sweet, gentle, the first to greet everyone and waits for belly rubs!

French Fry

Once a faithful string horse, French Fry was abandoned in the river beds after giving her heart and soul to safely carrying people on countless trails. Sad, dejected, with head hanging and empty eyes she had accepted her fate headed to slaughter when we stepped in and said Hell No. Slowly with love, kindness, good food, farrier care and building trust she showed herself to be sweet, kind and loving to all but most especially to children. Once back in shape she had the heart to keep going but her body just didn’t have the same ability and she was diagnosed with DSLD. She was retired to a sanctuary home in Arizona to live out her days in peace, love and safety from ever being in danger again!

Ramen

Ramen was found wandering the streets of Perris, CA where reportedly he had been seen for over a year on his own. Emaciated and weak we took him in and promptly named him Ramen because we knew taking on another life would mean we eat Top Ramen for a long time to come. Ramen had an incredible will to live and a stately air about him that shouted out that he was “someone special” at one time. Whatever his past, we fell head over heels in love with this old gentleman, rehabbing him into his gorgeous old self and found his forever home where he retired to live out his golden years well fed and well loved.

Lars (Laird)

It only takes one look at the transformation of this beautiful boy to be reassured of why we do what we do. Laird was being fed an unhealthy diet to keep him "mini". He was sad, sickly, and intact. We neutered him and found him a fantastic home and look at him now! Be still my heart, you hit the piggy lotto sweet boy!

Hamilton

Hamilton is approx 16 months old and neutered. He is used to being with a family, although has always lived outside. He is good with kids and does not seem to be bothered by the dogs that run around the ranch. He loves his mud puddles and a good belly rub. He has recently been housed next to another male pig and settled in nicely seeming to enjoy having a friend nearby.
